This 8 week, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction course, is an amalgamation of the work of Prof. Mark Williams, John Kabat-Zinn, John Teasdale and Zindel Segal.  It is a group based programme and is suitable for anyone who feels they are struggling to keep up with the constant demands of the modern world, for people who are continual worriers, it will help break the cycle of dis-stress, anxiety,  depression and unhappiness.

The Power of Clear Thinking Course

This is an 8 week group based programme, that provides information about mind/body  integration.  Each workshop begins with an educational element, followed by a practical session and ends with a relaxation session.

Week 1   Introduction to the mind/body connections

Week 2   Emotional needs and resources

Week 3   Understanding stress and anxiety

Week 4   Negative thoughts and limiting beliefs

Week 5   Understand depression and take control

Week 6   Essentials of a good sllep and how to get it

Week 7   Reframing and curious styles of thinking

Week 8   Time and Mindfulness

Using the Power of the Mind to Overcome Pain Course

For anyone who has long term pain.  This 10 week course has been formulate to include tutorials on the physiology and anotomy of the pain pathways and what makes pain worse.  We look at pain behaviour, and correcting negative patterns.  Since the focus of the course is to teach participants the art of self hypnosis each session contains two or three guided visualisations (which are personalised to each indivdual) and deep relaxation practices.  Sessions include gentle stretching exercises to strengthen core stability and open blocked energy channels. The final session includes looking into the future and planning change.

Beth has trained in many different schools of psychotherapy, counselling and well being therapies. This collective knowledge plus her extensive professional training within the NHS and years of experience with many other agencies have ensured a comprehensive knowledge base on which to base her ‘self help’ courses.  Most people say they enjoy the informality of group work.
